Walk in closet and bathroom combination Priscilla Rieves started giving her husband, Mark, adorning recommendation sooner than they were even courting. When he bought his 1921 bungalow in Dallas' Vickery Place, a historical community, he'd ask coworkers for decorating concepts. "Priscilla worked within the administrative center with me, & she by no means recommended me improper," he says. When Mark proposed, Priscilla says the first phrases out of her mouth were, "Oh, great! I've at all times sought after to brighten your own home.
" Mark took this as a positive signal, and the couple briefly merged households. In the 13 years considering that their marriage ceremony, the Rieveses have brought separate guest quarters over their garage, renovated the dining space & kitchen, built a grasp bathroom and walk-in closet, and constructed a large lined back porch. The couple labored together at the design of the house and consulted native architect Daron Tapscott, who focuses on renovations of older houses. Today it is a harmonious mix, with modern upgrades & colorful attraction.
